New Year's Resolutions Failure. That can set you up for failure. By the first week, 27% of us abandon our goals.
Psychologist janine hubbard says most of us are setting ourselves up for failure. There are several studies and articles quoting either a 90 percent or 92 percent failure rate. A new year's resolution is a tradition, most common in the western hemisphere but also found in the eastern hemisphere, in which a person resolves to continue good practices, change an undesired trait or behavior, to accomplish a personal goal, or otherwise improve their life.
Another study reports a higher success rate.
To people who are critical of new year’s resolutions, the fact that more than 90% of people break their resolutions may make a good case for why new year’s resolutions are meaningless. New year’s resolutions are simply too big. For every new year people in the us make resolutions with a hope that they would achieve their short term and long term goals, but more than 80% of them fail to get victory on their goals. It’s that time of year when we set new or maybe the same resolution for the coming year such as to get more clients or increase revenue.
